2019 BET Hip-Hop Awards Are Here And They Are Absolutely Glamorous

The Saturday evening 5th of October was marked from the BET Hip-hop award 2019 edition.

Those who are following this event through the years knows, that traditionally the ceremony was held in Atlanta until 2017, when for two years they took place in Miami, Florida. Now they are coming back to the beloved Atlanta.

The ceremony was hosted by Lil Duval in Cobb Energy Performing Life Center. The host himself is a famous American stand-up comedian and recording artist. He also has a history with the Bet Awards back in 2005, when he became a finalist in the competition series called Coming to the Stage.

But enough for Dual, let’s take a look at some of the most distinguished hip-hop stars, that enlightened the stage and the carpet. Fans were able to see the best of the hip-hop society. Jay Z, Busta Rhymes, Jermaine Dupri are some of the names, that put glamour on a higher stage on Saturday evening.

Traditionally the awards “I am hip hop” are given to the person who had a great impact on the industry with everything he or she does with their work. This year’s winner is Lil Kim logically of course and deserved. She gave a catchy speech while receiving the award. Rick Ross was the one who gave the award to the hip-hop female star and delivered to the fans great performance of some of his greatest tracks.

Interesting and impressive appearances could be seen both between the performers and the award winners. The award for best video and track went respectively to T.I. and Yung Joc feat. Niti. Yung Joc is very well known from the public, also several times nominee. T.I. took the first place in another category as well – CD of the year with King.

The list of the performers gave the impression that no one was forgotten and they received the respect they deserved. Actually, this opinion is shared by many of those who watched and took part.

Megan Thee Stallion opened the awards ceremony.

She influenced a lot with her songs on women of all ages. Megan was also one of the big winners in the “Hot Ticket Performer” category, accompanied by “Best Mixtape” award.

Lil Baby and DaBaby both were very drawn from their collaboration Baby. The “Suge” rapper got home the prestigious “Best New Artist” award.

Saweetie sang live My Type. She was joined by Lil Jon and Petey Pablo for the remarkable performance.
Music stars and the public were both to see that every newcomer knows where he or she was coming from and that were others before that built the way for them.

The ceremony’s broadcast was delivered to the audience on Tuesday night (Oct. 8) and here are some more of the winners in BET’s categories.

The Dreamville’s boss J. Cole conquered, deserved we say, the “Lyricist Of The Year” as well as the “Impact Track” award with his “Middle Child”. His verse on 21 Savage’s “A Lot” secured him another win in the “Best Feature” nominations.

Travis Scott won in the much-contested category – “Album Of The Year” with his “ASTROWORLD”. His directing skills were also noted by the jury and enriched his awards list with one more in “Video Director Of The Year”.

DJ Khaled just got “another one” in the bag, winning the “Producer Of The Year” award.

Cardi B strengthened her winning status by obtaining the “Best Hip-Hop Video” trophy with her impressive “Money” visuals and “Made-You-Look Award“.

And…the “Hustler Of The Year” award goes to…Yes, that’s HOV. Jay-Z made some moves lately that led him to the top of the industry. In case you’ve missed it, Jay is now the first rapper that’s actually a billionaire.
