According to the latest reports by Vulture, the real reason for DMX‘s death, confirmed by the Westchester County medical examiner’s office was “a cocaine-induced heart attack that caused a lack of blood circulation to his brain”.
Shortly after the death of the great, influential, and iconic rapper who passed away on April 9, 2021, the rumors of an overdose as a reason for his death were circling the web. The report by the Westchester County medical examiner’s office is the first official confirmation about the real reason for X’s death.
“It was cardiac arrest for a period of time, so there was no circulation to the brain, [The acute cocaine intoxication] caused this chain of events.” a source at the Westchester County medical examiner office said.
“His death literally happened immediately because the brain was dead. So obviously, there were a number of days where he was on ventilatory support and so forth in the hospital. However, he was diagnosed brain-dead early on … He never woke up from [a] coma.” the source added.
The name DMX will always be a symbol for hip-hop music, fans, friends, and family, a symbol that inspires. His legacy will live forever and his art will be written in eternity.
