Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine To Launch A High School In Los Angeles

Los Angeles will have a new high school soon and its founders will be no one else but  Dre and Jimmy Iovine. The music mogul and rapper and the media giant Iovine joined their efforts to help the school system of LA.

The city is the oasis for show business and any kind of entertainment. But only the natives and those who lived there for several years with their children understand what’s the condition of the school system. And it is awful indeed, that’s why Dre and Iovine are going to change this.

The fall of 2022 is the deadline for the new high school that will be situated in Leimert Park, South Los Angeles, to start accepting students. It will be a high-tech one, the founders say. The school will be named Regional High School No. 1.

The announcement for the launch of the new school was announced this Monday, June 14.

The concept for the high school is clear. It will not be fully artistic or music school, but it will let the kids do what they love to do most. With God’s will, the school will welcome as many as 250 students next autumn.

This is not the first time The Chronic creator and Jimmy take part in improving the educational system in the area. But unlikely the other projects before, which were focused on the college level institutions, this one goes lower to the high school education. Secondary education needs the most work in LA and that is why Iovine and Dre go down in the problem to solve it from a deeper level.
