Dr. Dre Named As The Top-Earning Musician Of The Decade
The end of the year and the decade is the time for charts, conclusions and any kind of look-backs at the years spent in work and thirst for success. Some people though are marked as winners and their job is to be always on number one spot. We guess this is the case with Dr. Dre.
The fact that there is no need to explain who he is speaks for itself. Without a very long introduction, everybody knows that the rapper is the king of the hip-hop producers and discovers new music starts as he gives them an opportunity of their lives. “The Chronic” mastermind is in this game long enough to play his cards right.
So according to the freshly released list of Forbes of the decade’s most financially successful musicians Dr. Dre hits the top with reportedly earned $950 million, coming out of his hard work during the years. With these numbers, he sends back many others such as Taylor Swift and Beyoncé who is also considered to be ruling the music business for years.
Dre and the Earnings
Dr. Dre has a long time ago turned his name into a label for high level and success. That is why it is no surprise most of his earnings did not come directly from music or producing. According to Forbes who made the chart, Dre mostly made his millions from the Beats by Dre products. The company was originally founded by Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine in 2006. Its main production is earphones, speakers and headphones.
In 2014 the company was acquired by Apple Inc. It is important to say that the living expenses and taxes are nor deducted which does make the incomes even a bit insignificant.
We can see many other famous names in the top ten, amongst them are Diddy with the impressive six hundred and five million and Jay-Z of course, who shows up in almost every chart and this one makes no exception. The information about the incomes of the starts is gathered from investments, music, and their own companies as well, considering the fact that most of them had their own.
Surely the new year 2020 will not be worse for Dr. Dre. He is reportedly working on a new project with Kanye West called Jesus is King Part II, which can be nothing else but the new hit project to come out. One thing is for sure – Dr. Dre earned and deserved every penny from his fortune.
