It’s the Drake Decade! Billboard has announced that Drake will receive the prestigious “Artist Of The Decade” honors during the 2021 Billboard Music Awards that will take place on Sunday (May 23).
The ceremony of this year’s BBMA is set to air on NBC on Sunday (May 23) at 8ET / 5PT. Taking a look back, Drake is one of the most awarded artists during the past 10 years.
On March 15, 2021, Drake updated the music history once again by becoming the first artist with 3 tracks on Billboard Hot 100 on positions 1,2,3 in the same week.
Last year, the Champagne Papi broke another musical record by becoming the artist with the most Top 10 entries in the Hot 100 chart of all time, surpassing the Beatles and Madonna.
In 2019, Drake has won not 1, but 12 awards in different categories during the Billboard Music Awards.
The announcement for the good news came from BBMA’s tweet showing a 25 seconds-long video, which serves as a short reminder of why we live in #DrakeDecade
