According to the rules, the nominated artist must have released his first record 25 years before the year of nomination. Shady released his debut LP “Infinite” on November 12, 1996. Tons of rhymes and awards later, the rap god has been recognized for his influence on music in general.
From 17 nominees there will be only 5 that will reach the final stage of the ballot. The 5 names with the most fan vote guarantee their place in the last phase.
You can vote for Eminem or your favorite artist on the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame official website.
