Eric B. Gets 1 Year Probation, Avoids Jail Time
Eric B. finally got his sentence over a case that lasted 17 years. Reportedly the rap music’s pioneer won’t face even a single day additional jail time as the outcome of the trial that took place at New Jersey on Nov. 22 came with 1-year probation for the rapper.
B. was arrested on Oct. 27, 2019, and the reason was his 17-year-old pursuit with the police and the followed arrest resist. The warrant for Eric was issued after he didn’t show up for his trial back then. The lawyer who represented Barrier back in 2002 apparently didn’t make any efforts to inform the rapper that he have to re-visit the court after he pleaded guilty for the aggravated assault.
Maybe this fact helped Eric B. to avoid jail time for now, but in the next few months, there should be no mistakes. Later on, the same lawyer Mr. Bergin was sentenced to life and…murder was the case.
So the justice came with a little delay for the “Paid In Full” rapper but he addressed the situation like “fair”.
