The news for the album They Got Amnesia by French Montana explained why he was doing so much recently. The project serves as Montana’s fourth studio album.
With the release of his last singles, he gave a glimpse to the audience of what they had to expect from the new project. Before the release of the album, French shared another track with a video with the audience back in October. This was “I don’t really care” and by that time he also announced the new album coming as well.
Whenever French Montana is planning a new project, he always thinks about all his friends. A solid amount of features is also present on the album They Got Amnesia. Some of the names a listener will hear on the tracks are Kodak Black, Fabolous, Lil Thai, Moneybagg Yo, Rick Ross, and even John Legend.
Sources say that a track with Drake was also planned to be part of the album. However, it was dropped off at the last moment. The track was planned to be called Splash Brothers. The reason for that is Drake who asked not to be part of that new release. He did not feel like making new music so soon after the tragedy at Astroworld Festival. For those who do not know, the festival was canceled, because the crowd was so eager to enter and see their favorite entertainers, that there was a surge, with resulted in several deaths and hundreds of injuries. Still the project with Drake will not be canceled forever. According to French Montana, the track can be included in the following deluxe version of the album.
The real power of French’s projects is that he is not only aiming for the top of the charts, but he is also trying to win the hearts of the listeners. That is why success just comes naturally. His last project Montana debuted at number twenty-five on the charts and then climbed slowly up. Another project of his – Jungle Rules – from 2017 debuted at number three on Billboard 200 Chart.
