The Chicago rap star G Herbo and his crew reportedly charged in a $1.5M fraud scheme involving “use of stolen credit card information and personal identities obtained either from the ‘dark web’ or other sources.”
According to The Chicago Tribune, G Herbo, his promoter Antonio “T-Glo” Strong, rapper Joseph “Joe Rodeo” Williams, and two more Chicago-bred men have been charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and aggravated identify theft.
The case filed in U.S. District Court in Springfield, Massachusetts in September 2020 but made public on Wednesday (December 2).
According to the sources, G Herbo and his crew used the stolen information to buy goods such as trips on private jets, limousine rides, exotic car rentals, a vacation at a villa in Jamaica, and even two designer puppies.
There is no comment yet from Herbo’s attorney.
