Hopsin has just dropped his new single “Alone With Me” which came accompanied by a video as well, described by the rapper s one of his best videos ever.
Following his “Your House” single released in January and the collaborative track with NF, “Alone With Me” marks the second solo release by Hopsin for 2021. He’s definitely back. This time, the lyrics of the song follow and recreate his conversation with his inner demon, who is actually himself. Thanks to the skillful wordplay delivery, the listener can imagine what the video will be even without watching it.
Hopsin announced the video for his new song with a short video on his Instagram page.
“I got a new song and music video dropping tomorrow morning,“Hopsin starts. “Brace yourselves. This video is wild, but it’s one of my favorite songs and videos that I’ve ever done in my entire life. It’s crazy though, I’m not gonna lie, it’s f***ed up. It’s f***ed up. But it’s sick, but it’s f***ed. Get ready,” Hopsin wrote.
The video finds the rapper getting a vision of the bad side of his personality, which according to the lyrics is inside him since his childhood. Somewhere in the clip, Joyner Lucas is shown on a newspaper page as the man who Hopsin is jealous of. While taking all the criticism towards him, Hopsin decides to get rid of his bad side, ending up their relationship with a grenade.
