Adam Mosseri, the CEO of one of the biggest social platforms Instagram, jumped on a live chat with The Shade Room and addressed the noise around Tory Lanez and his IG account. Mosseri revealed the reason for blocking the Lives of Tory Lanez. As expected, it was for breaking the rules with nudity.
Instagram and Tory Lanez
The Canadian rapper’s IG was blocked during an episode of his viral “Quarantine Radio” indeed. Shortly after that, in like a couple of minutes, Lanez created a new account and got 27k+ followers in no time. The “Quarantine Radio” episode was taken to his new page, but the frustration was felt.
The viral episodes started a few weeks ago, shortly after the Coronavirus pandemic changed the world. People spend way more time at home and Tory gave his fans precious videos with music, interviews and even hit-by-hit competitions. Guests like DMX, who announced he’s working on a new album during such live sessions with Tory are part of the QR.
Drake also appeared on the live sessions and even broke the record for most viewers at a time.

IG’s boss revealed he is actually a big fan of the “Broke In A Minute” rapper and hopes his Quarantine Radio comes back soon, but again he reminded to “stick to the rules”.
Now, Tory is back to his original IG account. He even announced the tracklist of his “The New Toronto 3” mixtape. With the third installment of the project, the Canadian star will mark his last release under Interscope Records.
