According to the latest reports from Variety, J. Cole has joined forces with Dreamville’s current president Damien Scott, who will handle the “Dreamville Ventures” which is set for a media company with wide range of services.
For leading the “Dreamville Studio”, Cole has trusted the vice president of his label Candace Rodney. The studio is said to produce original and co-produced content.
In his latest press release, J. Cole described the new projects as expansion of the “family business”.
“Dreamville has always been a mom-and-pop operation with grand ambitions and ideas that extend far beyond music. The hiring of Damien and Candace not only expands our family business with two of the smartest and most capable executives in the industry, but allows us to take a massive leap towards turning those big ideas into reality.” Cole said.
On her IG page, Candace Rodney celebrated the new Dreamville initiative, expressing the appreciation and joy that comes with her new position.
“Dreamville is bigger than a brand… it’s a movement. And I’m honored to be in a position to build upon that movement” Rodney wrote.
