J Cole Reveals New Album ‘The Off-Season” Cover Art and Release Date

What a time to be a J. Cole fan right? After his (not so) short break, Cole has announced that he’s dropping his upcoming album ‘The Off-Season” on May 14, 2021.

This will be the first piece of new music by J. Cole since 2018. Back then he released the already-classic KOD and the waiting for the sequel is active ever since. The tension in social media became very huge recently. That is when Cole first teased the audience with the expected date of the official release of the album. On Tuesday (May 4) he posted on his Instagram “Is This Thing On?” which was not exactly a question.

Shortly after that, another message uncovered the dramatic appearance of the cover and sure expected date of the release of “The Off-Season”. It will be the 14th of May, so the waiting will be soon over.

On the cover of the new project, we can see J. Cole himself standing in front of a burning basketball backboard.

Judging by the success of KOD back in 2018 and the rumors that this album is the sequel of it…we can’t wait to hear all of it. KOD debuted straight at number 1 on the Billboard Chart and scored 397 thousand sales for the first week on the market. This made Cole the owner of the fifth number one album in his career.

The countdown starts now.
