June 16, 2021, is the day the great Tupac Amaru Shakur, born in 1971, would have turned 50. During his life, aside from the multi-platinum albums and fans worldwide, Pac left behind an amazing legacy including unreleased music, handwritten poetry, drawings, and much more.
Jada Pinkett Smith went on Facebook on Monday (June 15) to share a few words for the late rapper just a few hours before what’s supposed to be Pac’s 50th birthday. The post shows a short video of Jada reading a handwritten Tupac poem titled “Lost Soulz”.
“Tupac Amaru Shakur would have been 50 midnight tonight! As we prepare to celebrate his legacy … let’s remember him for that which we loved most … his way with words. Here are a few you may have never heard before✨ Happy “you goin’n to be 50 at midnight” Birthday Pac! 😆 I got next😜
P.s I was planning to post tomorrow which is why the video says today is Pac’s bday. But I decided to start earlyyyyy” Jada wrote.
Born in New York, Shakur went through many different phases while building his unique personality and crafting his character. Pac and Jada met when the late rapper went to the Baltimore School of Arts. Starting from there, the relationship between Jada and Tupac becomes one of the strongest connections the rapper ever had. The stability of their friendship has been proven through the years.
