The single True Love, which originally appeared on the Donda album by Ye featuring XXXTentacion, is officially out now on all streaming platforms.
Accompanied by drums, Kanye is rapping mostly about the divorce. Daddy’s not gone, you see the light is on – Ye is saying. XXX on the other side with his verse is telling a story about a haunting hook.
The True Love single is putting the necessary finish to the Look At Me: XXXTentacion, which is a documentary about the late rapper who passed away at the age of 20. He expressed his admiration for Ye during his short life. In March 2014 he posted on Twitter: “Kanye is my inspiration.” The documentary about the late rapper is now streaming on Hulu.
On the other side, Ye has also expressed his feelings about his young fellow. The words followed X’s death in 2018. “I never told you how much you inspired me while you were here. Thank you for existing.” Kanye wrote.
The official cover of the single is designed by Ye and features handwritten parts of XXX, which were taken from his diary, and found by his mother after the rapper’s death in 2018.
