Kodak Black Sentenced To Additional 12 Months In Prison

Earlier last year (April 29, 2019) Kodak Black was arrested for possession of guns and marihuana, found in his car. This happened while he and two more people were going to the Canadian border and wanted to go abroad. The case went all over the news and the internet. The problem was that Kodak did not show any papers for legal possession and neither he declared it in front of the authorities upon his arrival. What happened after that is well known.

The additional 12 months of jail time

During the trial in 2019, Kodak Black did not plead guilty to any of the court meetings. March 2020, he was found guilty for attempt second-degree criminal possession. This is where Kodak Black got his additional 12 months in prison. The good news is that the rapper, originally born with the name Dieuson Octave has also another sentence, which will go parallel with this one. It is another forty-two months federal sentence for illegal purchase of a firearm. The second one happened in his home state of Florida.

Everything shows that our hero seems to be in a very complicated situation. The decision of the court is final, but this did not stop it from rising interesting questions. A lawyer who is not specifically the rapper’s defendant published a post, making comment on the case. Though this person is not directly connected with the case, he said many reasonable words to be considered.

According to the case details revealed so far, it is somehow true that Kodak Black did not exactly know about the firearm. When checked the gun showed to owned by one of the other two persons, who accompanied the rapper in the Cadillac.

Some good news and some frustration in regards to @kodakblack . The case in New York is resolved. I was not his attorney on that case. Although it should have been completely dismissed, as it was for the other 2 individuals in the same car, who testified that @kodakblack knew nothing about the firearm in the vehicle, and it was registered and legal to one of the other individuals he was with, they agreed to 12 month to run concurrent with his current sentence. Even the Judge asked the prosecutor why are they not dismissing. @kodakblack just wanted to resolve it so he doesn't lose anytime in federal. You see when you are out of federal custody you lose that time on your federal case. Now with the Coronavirus, its unknown when they will pick him up due to this virus. The BUREAU OF PRISONS @bureauofprisons needs to address these issues that federal inmates are credited back time they miss due to this outbreak. More information to follow this, as we really need to delve deep into how @kodakblack is being treated differently than any other inmate and any other defendant. Next up we will discuss what I say is triple jeopardy and the holding off on charges to attempt to stack a defendant with extra time, like in the case in @saomiami

The reason Kobak Black decided to give up was so he does not lose so much time in federal custody. It seems like there can be more than one truth in this situation. The plan gets more and more complicated because of the coronavirus and it is not exactly clear when the rapper will be released exactly.

Being behind the bars didn’t stop the “Dying To Live” rapper to drop new music for his fans, yes…with a phone call from prison, Kodak delivered nothing else but a diss track to Yung Miami, you can check it here.
