During the Young Money Reunion show in Toronto on Saturday (August 7), Lil Wayne dropped the breaking news that his new album which is the sixth installment of the classic series “Tha Carter” is “coming soon”.
The first album was released back in 2004 with 21 songs in it and set the fundamentals of something big. During the years, all 5 parts of Tha Carter have changed the hip hop game for good and now the fans will be able to taste it once again.
The confirmation about the upcoming release of “Tha Carter VI” came a few hours after the live performance where Weezy shared the stage with Drake and Nicki Minaj. The Young Money rap star went on social media and shared a short clip.
“What up, y’all, Tunechi here. Thank you. [I] ain’t shit without you,” Wayne said. “I’m not sure if you heard, but Carter VI is on the way,”
