The first posthumous single by the late Pop Smoke – “Make It Rain” featuring Rowdy Rebel is officially here. Although fans were expecting the full album, the LP was pushed back for July 3, 2020, due to the mass protests for social justice started after George Floyd’s murder.
The delay of the album was announced by Universal Music Group’s exec. Steven Victor on June 11, just a day before the expected release date.
Victor went on IG to reveal the news and also announced an upcoming new track. By posting the “Make It Rain” single’s cover with the hidden name of the featured artist, UMG’s boss kept the tension among the New York-born rapper’s fans.
