Offset decided to set the record straight for his legal battle with the celebrity jeweler Guven and requested in court the $400k lawsuit to be dismissed. According to Guven and his team, Offset didn’t pay after equipped himself with two bracelets and a platinum diamond necklace. In total, the amount of almost $400k.
Back in September 2019, Guven, jeweler who is known with creating iced-out masterpieces for tons of celebrities, filled a lawsuit against the Migos’ 1/3 Offset, accusing him of failing to pay for the jewelry he took.
That’s not the case according to the “Father Of 4” rapper. Set claims that he didn’t take one of the bracelets at all. In addition to this, he bought a brand new SUV to Guven’s team to behold as collateral.
In his calling for lawsuit dismiss, Offset points out also the jewelry company failed to send him the lawsuit docs properly, as the claim was sent to his old address in ATL. According to the 28-year-old rapper, Guven knows his current home address as he previously sent some of the jewelry there.
The rapper’s lawyer told BOSSIP: “There was no contract. We are hopeful the trial court will give us the opportunity to allow a jury to determine these outstanding issues.”
