Two members of the trio Migos released their brand new video, named Hotel Lobby. The song is released under Huncho and Takeoff’s new monikers – Unc and Phew.
The track, produced by Murda Beatz also got the video at the same time it was released. The video nods to the modern-day cult Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas as many who saw it consider. The visual of the project was made with the cooperation of the Hunco Films.
The new name Unc and Phew is showing the family connection between the two rappers. Though they are relatives. In an interview given for The Fader, the two explained exactly how it was in the past.
They said growing up in Georgia was not an easy time for them. By then Unc was in middle school, as he is older, and Phew was in elementary. Quavo said that Takeoff’s mom took care of both of them all the time. No matter what happens, they were always together and raised together. Quavo also shared they are like brothers. But for a long time, they picked this joke that Quavo is the uncle and that is where Unc comes from.
It is a key moment for the arrival of the new track since more and more rumors are spread about the future break-up of the Migos trio. The first suspicions came out this week when someone noticed that Quavo and Offset are no more following each other on Instagram. Both of the rappers did not comment on that, but Offset isn’t making any appearance in Unc and Phew’s new track.
