Tupac’s Clinton Correctional Facility ID Up For Auction
Another item belonged to the great Tupac Amaru Shakur is now up for auction. After the “2pacalypse Now” Notebook, the handwritten love letters, documents and drawings, as well as two pieces of jewelry, earn success for the auctioneers, now one of the millions of fans will have the chance to obtain a very rare item.
Makaveli received the auctioned ID shortly after he was transferred in the New York’s Clinton Correctional Facility. Shakur spent 11 months in a 6-by-9 foot jail cell after the judge found him guilty on sexual abuse charges. The “All Eyez On Me” mastermind is moved to protection custody the second day after he arrived.
Now, 24 years later. One of the biggest auction houses in the U.S. is giving an opportunity to all the fans to take home the rare item.
The prison ID is signed by Tupac over the “INMATE SIGNATURE” section and consist the basic information about the convicted rapper, like color of the eyes, name, ID number, date of birth, height, where we can see that Pac was 5’ 11’’ and was 165 lbs weight that time in 1995.
On the back of the ID, we can see an instruction that the item “should be on person at all times”. The Clinton Correctional Facility ID is 2.5” x 3.5” big.
The auction starts on July 1st, 2019 and the starting bid is $2000. Do not be too enthusiastic about the low starting price. As we already witnessed the explicit drawings that Pac made in the same prison. Representing him and his GF making love, was sold out for the impressive amount of over $21k.
If you can’t get Shakur’s prison ID, don’t worry, there will be more items to go up for auction for sure. A love letter from Tupac addressed to Madonna is about to hit the stage very soon.
Recently it became clear that after a court trial, Madonna can’t prevent her friend from selling some of her items. The letter is on the list as well.
