While the fans are patiently waiting for the release of his new album this Friday (May 14), J. Cole has dropped an impressive freestyle during his visit at the Power 106 FM LA Leakers on Wednesday (May 12).
The video of the freestyle was uploaded on the radio station’s official YouTube channel and shows J. Cole admitting it’s been a while since the last time he did a freestyle. The next moment we see Cole showing off with some skills bar after bar.
The North Carolina rapper breaks in with the first part of the freestyle over the beat of “93 ’til Infinity” by Souls Of Mischief.
After a short pause, the hosts are bringing Cole to another banger. Around the 3 minutes and 37 seconds mark, Dreamville’s boss can be heard spitting them rhymes with such ease over the beat of “Still Tippin” by Mike Jones.
J. Cole has announced the upcoming release of his new album “The Off-Season” last week and a few days later, the rapper dropped the first single from the project – Interlude.
