Pop Smoke has joined the short list of rappers who conquered #1 spot on Billboard 200 with a posthumous album.
Just like Biggie and Tupac in the past and XXXTentacion last year, Smoke’s posthumous “Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon” secured the late rapper’s historic number one spot on the prestigious chart.
The full-length project was executively produced by 50 Cent and was released on July 3, 2020. Since then, the album got sold 251,000 units, which equals 268.44 million on-demand streams.
The “Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon” LP was accompanied by a video for one of the tracks “Got It On Me”.
Revisiting the album once again confirms our position that NYC lost their king and the world lost incredible talented rapper with an outstanding style.
