The 2020 BET Awards ceremony was one of a kind so far and something that BET never did since its existence. The event was completely virtual due to the Coronavirus pandemic and was aired on CBS.
The event’s host Amanda Seales did a great job in presenting the categories, the nominees, and of course, the winners in each. There were a few surprises among the BET winners list though.
Megan Thee Stallion, who recently dropped her latest single “Girls In The Hood” took the Best Female Artist award, triumph over Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, Doja Cat, and Saweetie.
The Album Of The Year award was conquered by Roddy Ricch and his Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial.
DaBaby took home the Best Male Hip Hop Artist award, while the Best Group award was given to Migos.
