2021 turns out to be the Cole year. After debuting for his team Rwanda Patriots in the Basketball Africa League shortly after releasing his new album The Off-Season, J. Cole continues his run with the premiere of a new video for the track “Amari”.
The song landed on Cole’s recently released music effort, which is for sure one of the applicants for “Album Of The Year”.
Produced by T-Minus, Cole-himself, Timbaland, and Sucuki, the track easily became one of the favorites.
The video for Amari is directed by Mez for Heirs and finds J. Cole dropping 2 verses and the hooks while in the hood with his crew. During the visuals, the director also shows Cole’s inner child trying to save him from falling down in the abyss. Which turns out to be the main note behind the video.
