After serving six years and two months behind the bars, the Brooklyn-bred rapper Bobby Shmurda was released from prison on Tuesday (February 23).
It’s all official, according to the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision database, Bobby is now holding the status “Released” after six years and two months spent in Clinton Correctional Facility, NY.
Back in December 2014, Shmurda was sentenced to 7 years in prison after he and 12 more members of his GS9 crew were arrested in the Quad Studios, NYC. The same studio, where Tupac recorded some of his most iconic classic hits. In fact, the common record studio is not the only coincidence. Tupac also spent some jail time in the Clinton Correctional Facility in New York as well.
