Ice Cube, Meek Mill, Snoop, T.I. and more rappers expressed their irritation and anger following the recently surfaced video of police officers suffocating black man to death in Minneapolis.
On Monday a video of police officers detaining and suffocating black man in Minneapolis went viral. In the clip we see the suspect, George Floyd detained and handcuffed by police while one of the officers kneeling on his neck.
With his last words, Floyd begging for help and saying he can’t breathe. That not seems to botter the police officer who keeps on suffocating the 46-year-old man. Later on, George Floyd was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
According to CNN, police officers who arrived on the crime scene and detained the 46-year-old man – George Floyd, were already fired. The action caused mass protests over the streets of Minneapolis.
Ice Cube, Meek Mill, T.I. and Snoop Dogg were part of the hip-hop culture reps. who expressed their frustration and anger via social media.
