Getting closer to the release of his full-length project, Kendrick Lamar got his fans covered with a new single “The Heart Part 5” which came accompanied by an amazing video.
The release comes almost 4 years after Lamar dropped his last piece of new music and it’s for sure a nice warm-up for what’s coming on May 13, when Lamar’s new album “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers” will be released. The project was announced by the rap giant first here.
Lamar went on social media to share another cryptic announcement with the fans posting the “I am. All of us. – oklama” image with the caption “The Heart Part 5”.
In the new track, Lamar takes the rhythmic and unusual beat and with the power of his bars transforms it into a perfect hip-hop sound. Once again, the D.A.M.N. mastermind shows why he’s one of the top rappers right now.
The video for “The Heart Part 5” is something different. Directed by Dave Free & Kendrick Lamar, the clip reveals Lamar’s confession at the beginning, when suddenly the rhymes just start coming like lyrical slaps into our face.
While rapping on a dark-red background, with the help of some amazing photoshop skills Lamar’s face transforms and he gets the faces of Kanye West, Kobe Bryant, OJ Simpson, Jussie Smollet, Will Smith and the late Nipsey Hussle.
