The Roots teamed up with Michelle Obama and her “When We All Vote” organization for their 13th annual Roots Picnic but this time the event will be virtual. The Picnic will be aired on YouTube next Saturday (June 27, 2020) as an online event produced by Shawn Gee from Live Nation Urban.
The world pandemic is the reason for many events to be postponed or even canceled, well, that’s not the case with The Roots, who got Michelle Obama on their side. The legendary group is about to rejoice the fans with a promising online event.
Collaborating with the nonprofit organization “When We All Vote”, the 13th annual Roots Picnic will be hosted by Michelle Obama, Black Thought and Questlove. Anyone can subscribe to The Roots’ YouTube channel and keep an eye for the live streaming.
Polo G, Lil Baby, SZA, and Roddy Ricch are a small part of the artists we will see performing live at the event.
